Xiaomi is ready to launch its all-new Redmi K90 Ultra smartphone. The handset is specifically configured and designed for gaming enthusiasts and likely to have an 8000mAh or even larger battery pack. While Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed the exact launch date and official specifications, industry reports have already anticipated that the upcoming Xiaomi phone in India may launch later this month. Also, the device will get significant upgrades over last year’s Redmi K80 Ultra smartphone. The existing offering comes with MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ SoC and a 6.83-inch screen size with a 144Hz refresh rate.

Redmi K90 Ultra Launch Date in India

According to the official announcement, Xiaomi is ready to launch its new Redmi K90 Ultra smartphone by the end of this month in China. However, the exact date is still undisclosed, but the brand has started receiving pre-bookings through its Xiaomi Mall, Tmall, and other leading websites in China. Previously, Xiaomi launched its Redmi K80 Ultra smartphone on June 26, hinting that the new phone could also launch by the end of the month. 

Expected Redmi K90 Ultra Price in India

According to Xiaomi President Lu Weibing, the new phone will fall below Redmi K90 Max in the lineup, making the price tag approximately CNY 3,000 (about Rs 41,000). Compared to this, the Redmi K90 Max gets a price of CNY 2999 (about Rs 40,000) for the 12GB + 128GB variant. Also, the K80 Ultra smartphone that was launched last year comes at a price tag of CNY 2,599 (about Rs 31,000) for the 12GB + 256GB variant.

However, the official specification details for the upcoming Redmi K90 Ultra smartphone haven’t been revealed. The recent industry insights suggest the handset could get a 6.89-inch LTPS OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. The phone will also get a custom dual-speaker system with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and a premium metal frame. It is rumored to be extensively configured for a superior gaming experience and onboard Snapdragon 8 Elite chip.

The device could also have an integrated active cooling system and an active cooling fan for better thermal management. It can even get an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Moreover, the K90 Ultra can ship with Android 16-based HyperOS 3. The upcoming smartphone from Xiaomi would get a dual real camera setup as found in Redmi K80 Ultra, which currently features a 50-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and there is a 20-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.

The standout feature of this new phone could be the large battery with a capacity of 8000mAh or even more. The online listing confirms that the device will support 100W charging, and for comparison, the current offering, Redmi K80 Ultra, with a 7,410mAh battery, also supports 100W fast charging.
